Andy Leader - Team Manager

In his first season with the Club having previously managed at all levels from Southern and Ryman down to Wessex League level. Played professionally for both Crystal Palace and Reading before moving abroad with spells in Hong Kong and Finland.
His playing career also embraced such as Salisbury, Newport (IOW) and Wokingham before moving in to management.

Phil Andrews - Assistant Team Manager/Forward

Locally based but with League experience at Brighton before also playing for Bashley and Dorchester. Is the possessor of a good footballing brain with the ability to bring others in to the game.

Is approaching 200 games for the club and has scored in excess of 50 goals and will be hoping to increase both tallies in conjunction with his managerial role this season.

Andy Darnton - Assistant Team Manager

Amassed over 700 games at Ryman and Southern League level in a playing career that included numerous honours and two four figure transfer fees at clubs such as Fleet,Worthing, Newport, Waterlooville, Gosport, Bashley and Fareham among others.

Enjoyed coaching spells at both Bashley and Winchester before joining Andover this season.

Jason Braidwood - Assistant Team Manager

Played at professional level at Swindon and Wycombe under the likes of Lou Macari, Martin O’Neill and Glen Hoddle before his playing career was ended by a severe knee injury in 1998.

Had successful managerial spells at both Newbury and Thatcham and is now enjoying his first season at Andover.

Dave Tasker - Goalkeeper

Has returned to the Club this season and another who has played for near neighbours Andover New Street. A good shot stopper and always popular with the supporters.

Joe Wright - Defender

DOB: 4 January 1990

Only 19 years old and a graduate of the Winchester City Youth set-up for which he played for four years before stepping up to first team level. Can play in central defence or on the left hand side where his energy adds to the side’s attacking options.

Bobby Swayne - Defender/Midfielder and Club Captain

DOB: 22 May 1984

Popular local boy and Club captain who joined the Club from near neighbours New Street. A whole hearted and skilful player who is equally at home in midfield or the centre of the defence and can score vital goals, he has already made in excess of 200 appearances for the club.

Mark James - Defender

DOB: 19 September 1985

Strong central defender who has previously played for both Thatcham and Newbury. Powerful in the tackle and claims his fair share of goals from set pieces.

Jono Richardson - Defender

Accomplished central defender signed this season from Bracknell Town. Has also played for AFC Totton and Gosport before spending most of last season at Winchester and is another who constitutes a danger at set pieces

Jason Sangha - Defender

Tall defender happy anywhere in the back line and can also play in midfield if required. Was on Yeovil Town’s books and has joined the Club this season from Eastleigh.

Adam Gatcum - Defender

Accomplished left sided defender who started his career at Southampton and has also played at both Woking and Eastleigh. Strong in the tackle and good going forward he will be a useful addition to the Lions ranks.

Mark Keogh - Defender

Andover based and started his career with local neighbours Andover New Street before joining the Lions. An energetic and hard working full back, he has returned to the Club this season after a spell at Wessex League side Bemerton.

Lee Burch - Defender/Midfielder

DOB: 21 July 1984

Another versatile player who prefers the right hand side of the defence but can play in midfield and will also play up front if asked. Has previously represented both Bashley and Winchester City.

Tom Melledew - Midfielder

Robbie Sadler - Midfielder

Neat midfield player with clever passing skills he has joined the Lions from Hellenic League side Newbury for what will be his first season at Southern League level. Has also played for Hungerford.

Martin Harris - Midfielder

DOB 5 May 1989

Hard working and skilful midfielder who joined the Club this season. Has previously played for Bashley, Blackfield and Langley and Eastleigh.

DOB: 14 December 1988

Andover based but only now playing for his home town club after enjoying youth football at both Basingstoke and Winchester. A left sided midfielder who graduated to first team football at Winchester.

Sean Cook - Forward

DOB: 16 December 1979

Close season signing from near neighbours Thatcham for whom he was a regular goalscorer and also enjoyed a short spell at Salisbury. Tall and very good at bringing other people in to the game he will prove a major capture for the Lions.

DOB: 10 November 1986

A Hythe based winger who has played for Winchester and Bashley. Very quick and brave. Had a few games for Eastleigh last season.

Tommy Langfrey - Forward

Another ex- Newbury and Hungerford player who has come to the Portway this season. Equally happy in defence or midfield and will be looking to adapt quickly to a higher level of football

Recent signing who can play on either flank or through the middle. Played for Christchurch in the Wessex League and has played for Thatcham, Marlow and Winchester at his level.
